Aasted Univers

Client: Aasted

Aasted is a world-leading provider of innovative solutions for the chocolate, bakery, and confectionery industries. They design and manufacture a wide range of machines and full production lines for these sectors. You can find more information about Aasted here.

Aasted wanted to develop an interactive marketing tool to showcase their diverse production lines and machinery. My role was to create all the images and interactive animations for this tool.

The tool opens with a main screen depicting a vibrant, green industrial landscape featuring elements inspired by Danish architecture and scenery. This central image, called Aasted’s Universe, places Aasted’s logo at the heart of a roundabout, surrounded by five industrial factories. Each factory is uniquely designed, drawing inspiration from iconic Danish buildings and the Griffith Observatory. You can see the Aasted Universe image below.

The original image was created at a stunning 16K resolution, allowing users to zoom in and explore every intricate detail of each building. Each factory represents one of Aasted’s five distinct production lines. Clicking on a building takes users inside, where they can view an overview of all production lines within that category. Below, you’ll find an example from the Chocolate Moulding Lines, represented by the lower-left building in Aasted’s Universe.

Selecting a specific production line reveals a high-resolution, ultra-wide image of that line. Users can scroll from left to right to explore the detailed configuration of the entire production process. Below, you’ll see a downscaled version of one of these images. The original versions are about ten times wider, meaning only a portion of the production line is visible in the viewport at any given time.

Because these production line images are so wide, an orthographic representation is displayed at the bottom of the screen. This simplified schematic remains fully visible at all times and highlights the section of the production line currently in view. An example of this layout is shown below.

From the production line images, users can click on individual machines within the line to access interactive animations showcasing the machine’s specifications. Examples of these animations can be found here.
