The disadvantages
1. The more frames the longer the production time.
This is more important with a 360 interactive animation than with an interactive exploded view or product operation animation. Because the more frames, the smoother the 360 animation around your model will be. Especially if you would like to not only rotate sideways around your model (as in a circle), but also move up and under your model. As in a dome or complete spherical shape around your model.
2. The more frames, the longer the loading time of the animation when viewed online.
All frames must be loaded in advance. If the animation is viewed offline, this is almost instantaneous. For online, depending on the number of frames, loading may take a few seconds.
3. Higher resolution animation becomes heavy to display when there are a lot of frames to load.
All frames must be loaded in advance. Higher resolution frames require a fast internet connection to properly display all the data.
4. No full interactivity to revolve around a 3D model. Such as with an interactive 3D model.
Every camera position around your model is rendered in advance. The frames are then linked together via a script to provide an interactive experience. So it is interactive, but it is not a true 3D model where you can freely move around.
